Looking
for a mega European resort which offers tons of off-piste skiing and more lifts
and ski able terrain then you can cover in 1 year of riding....then Laax is it.
R7 has teamed up with the RidersPalace hotel to offer US skiers and snowboarders
an amazing package. We are including flights from any major city in the US to Zurich
and 4 nights lodging and 4 days of lift passes for this insane package. The Alps
destination of Films Laax Falera is easy to get to from Zurich - your flight
lands, you go down stairs, hop on the train and arrive less than 2 hours later.
A bus takes you from the station right to the hotel - so seemless you think your
at Disneyworld - its beyond easy trust us. Riders Palace issues digital lift passes
upon arrival. Rooms feature Xbox, Beamers, and internet access. The mountain is
beyond huge - try 8 mile long runs - thigh burners and more off piste skiing then
we've ever seen - If you have ever wanted to ski or board Europe this is a great way to learn the ropes.
HalfPipes The three half pipes and the big snowpark on the Crap Sogn Gion
and Vorab glacier are world class. Starting already in mid-October, the Vorab glacier
halfpipe stands ready for snow-hungry boarders and freeskiers. During the winter
season, two additional monster pipes on the Crap Sogn Gion are shaped daily. The
snowpark with pipe and park lift round out the freestyle infrastructure. From morning
till the final run, you can count on the No Name Caf (pictured to the right) just
above the halfpipes to create the right sound atmosphere. Show off some more tricks
as you make your way to the bar and warm yourself up with their famous latte macchiato
or cappuccino.
Fresh
Powder The longest backcountry runs are located on Cassons Ridge. From the Cassons
Ridge, you have a wide selection of different freerides. And for some of most incredible
powder turns, there's the area around the Alp Ruschein chairlift or directly below
the Curnius high-speed 4-person chairlift. A special insider tip: check out the
long freeride from Vorab Sattel to Alp Ruschein. Important: Stay up to date on the
latest avalanche reports and never venture onto blocked pistes!!!

Away from
the masses One of the nicest backcountry runs starts by the mountain station of
the Cassons cable car. The run begins with a steep powder slope and ends down in
an awesome basin with natural couloirs and cool cliff jumps. Crap Masegn is another
run offering lots of variety. Cross over the ski piste and you'll come to the Crest
da Tiarms. Here you can surf down a unique slope packed with opportunities for big
air.

Morning
hour
This snow region is fortunate to be graced by sun all day long in most parts.
But Cresta da Tiarms and Crappa Spessa are two areas that only get sun in the morning.
So be sure to check out these regions early in the day when there's sun to be had!

Best Grinds: Fondue, Brats, & Beer
The Hotel
