Rile Seven - International Adventure Travel

Days 2-3 Leh
A fascinating city, Leh is dominated by the Palace (modeled on the Potala) and the main bazaar. With its old-style Tibetan architecture, tiny gompas and numerous mani walls it is a place of endless corners to explore.

Day 4 Lamayuru
The 11th century monastery of Lamayuru sits dramatically on a high spur overlooking an eerily eroded landscape.

Days 5-7 Monasteries of the Indus (2B)
Set amid the barren gorges of the Indus River and desolate mountains, step into some of Ladakh's incredible monasteries to admire some of the most spectacular Buddhist art in the world - Alchi, Hemis, Likir are amongst those we will definitely visit.

Day 8 Sarchu (B, D)
A long, but incredible drive takes us across the Tanglang La Pass (5360m), the highest point of our journey before descending down the Gata loops, an amazing series of 21 hair-pin bends to the tented camp at Sarchu Serai.

Days 9-11 Manali (B)
Famous for apples, shawls and trekking, the popular resort of Manali sits below snow-capped peaks and wooded slopes. It's a great place to browse bustling markets for locally made handicrafts and trade your noodles for chocolate cake.

Days 12-14 Dharamsala
The hilltop home of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, is full of monasteries, prayer flags and monks in their crimson robes. A trip to the fantastic Norbulingka Institute is always a highlight.

Day 15 Depart Delhi
Arrive back into the bustle of Delhi where the trip ends upon arrival at the Railway Station.
