Day 1 Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi at any time.

Day 2 Delhi
We dive into the heart of India’s capital to explore both Old and New Delhi by visiting Delhi’s famous Jama Masjid- the minaret provides a great view over the old city. Walk through Chandni Chowk, one of India’s oldest and busiest markets, and learn the some of the history of the Sikh religion at the Gurduwara. In the afternoon, discover the sites of New Delhi.

Day 3-4 Kanha (2B)
Continue on through spectacular countryside to Kanha National Park. Rudyard Kipling based his tale on the wildlife of Kanha, home to those famous childhood characters - Shere Khan the Tiger, Baloo the Bear, Bagheera the Panther and the formidable Rock Python Kaa. This protected wildlife reserve is arguably one of the best places to spot the endangered tiger in the wild.

Day 5-6 Bandhavgarh (2B)
Travel deep into Madhya Pradesh to Bandhavgarh National Park. This is truly one of India's magnificent wildernesses and, with a relative abundance of tigers compared to other National Parks, we increase our chances of spotting one.

Day 7 Khajuraho
One of the most popular tourist destinations in India, Khajuraho is home to India’s largest group of medieval Hindu temples, famous for their erotic sculptures depicting scenes from the Kama Sutra.

Day 8 Orchha
Travelling via the fortress town of Gwalior, we retreat to the peaceful riverside town of Orchha. Explore the many temples and palaces spread along the river and surrounding countryside, making sure to see the town’s imposing 17th century fort, Chaturbhuj Temple.

Day 9 Agra
Travel to Agra, visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the now deserted former capital of the Mughals. In Agra, visit India’s most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal and ride on one of the ubiquitous cycle rickshaws to visit the Agra Fort and Baby Taj.

Day 10 Bharatpur
The Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a World Heritage site, now has more than 400 species of birds. Cycle-rickshaws take us into the peace and quiet of the park.

Day 11-12 Ranthambore (2B)
Travel to Sawai Madhopur, where Ranthambore National Park, one of the original Project Tiger Reserves is located. We have two days to take safaris into the park with its lakes, scrublands and ruined palaces, as well as abundant wildlife spotting including deer, birds and monkeys. If we are lucky, we may even see one of the resident tigers.

Day 13 Delhi
We return to Delhi for one final opportunity to shop, explore or take more photographs.
